Thanks for sharing.

There was an article in the paper recently that said if you were going to deduct the cost of your business and you were an employee, you needed a letter from your employer stating that you had to work at home.

It does sound like a lot of work to go through, now I can see why so many people don't take deductions they are qualified for.

I've heard from various places that I don't qualify for the deduction anyways, since my computer isn't in a room solely used as an office, so I'm not to worried about it.

But I'm definitely going to try to make sure my new house has a room that I can use exclusively as a home office.

Hey Sarah!

You're right it is a lot to go through, but it's well worth the time & energy or money if you pay someone to prepare your taxes, if you are eligible for the deduction. Wise move in making a room that is strictly your office in your new home.

Do you happen to have a link you can post or email to the article you saw?

Rona - Hey girl! Thank you so much for the comment. I look at it like this: It's not a choice for WAHPs to do bookkeeping and taxes, it's a NECESSITY so why not help make it a bit easier for them! :)
